The performance is close to that of accepted Grade 1 monitors that are 10 times the price!
OLED: Sony’s BVM E/F and PVM 17” and 25.5” OLED monitors have become the go-to choice of many
broadcast professionals. Offering deep blacks and pin sharp pictures, they are equally at home on a film set or in a grade one colour suite. The Samurai Blade from Atomos is the new, on- camera 5” high definition (1280 x 720 pixel), touch screen monitor that also records 10 bit HD-SDI to compressed ProRes or DNxHD. Convergent Design’s Odyssey 7Q reaches the market in August 2013. It is a capacitative touch screen controlled 7.7” OLED device with 1280 x 800 pixel resolution and multiple user tools such as 3D LUTs, focus assist, zebras, false colour exposure indication, RGB waveform and vectorscope, histogram and more.
But it also records to DnxHD (36 to 220 Mbps) and will optionally offer Raw recording support for multiple camera formats (Arri, Panasonic, Canon, Sony…) up to 4K. At the price we can offer, what’s not to like? Call us for details!
