NOW AVAILABLE: Canon 4K Raw Support
Convergent Design has released it’s latest firmware for Gemini 4:4:4, version 1.4.101. This is production-level firmware that improves the overall speed and reliability of the unit. It is recommended for ALL users.
This version releases our Canon 4K Cinema Raw Option (4K, Half Raw and Quad HD; click HERE for a table of current support). This is the LOWEST COST option for TRUE Cinema Raw (.rmf) recording!
To kick off the release of Canon’s C500 and Convergent Design’s Firmware support, we are offering our best promotion yet: Get TWO 512GB SSD’s FREE with the purchase of a Gemini 4:4:4 plus Canon Raw or ARRIRAW Option.
Amber Cowles, Marketing & Communications Director says, “Convergent Design is excited to be able to offer this promotion in concert with the shipping release of the C500. While an onboard recorder is mandatory, we feel Gemini 4:4:4 is the best option for Cinema Raw capture at the lowest cost, and has the best features, including our 5″ LCD monitor with debayered preview and playback, free transfer station, and a very compact size. With our current promotion, entry is so affordable around $8500 (US); one-third the cost of competing RAW recorders!”
Canon 4K Cinema Raw support is an extra cost option, $2495 (US). For your convenience, it is included in demo mode in our firmware for testing and evaluation purposes. The Option is a simple firmware update to any existing or new Gemini 4:4:4.
